In addition to the Google Pixel 10 series, Google also revealed the latest addition to the Pixel Buds lineup. The Pixel Buds 2a is a new lightweight upgrade to the A-series that packs premium features into a budget-friendly package, priced at RM649.
Smarter Sound with Tensor A1
At the core of the Pixel Buds 2a is the new Tensor A1 chip, engineered specifically for audio processing. This marks the first time ANC is available in the A-series, enhanced by Silent Seal 1.5 for immersive listening. A custom speaker driver and high-frequency chamber deliver richer audio, while wind-blocking mesh and AI-powered call optimisation ensure your voice comes through crystal clear.
Battery life gets a major boost too — up to 7 hours of listening with ANC on, and 20 hours total with the charging case. Plus, the case now features a replaceable battery, extending the product’s lifespan and sustainability.
Other Features
Smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the Pixel Buds 2a are built for a secure, customizable fit. The twist-to-adjust stabiliser and four eartip sizes help users find their ideal setup, with IP54 sweat and water resistance. Available in Iris and hazel, Google also integrated Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, for voice control.
With Fast Pair and Multipoint support, switching between devices is effortless, whether you’re jumping from your Pixel phone to a tablet or laptop. And if they ever go missing, Find My Device integration via Find Hub helps you locate them on a map or ring them nearby.
Availability and Pricing
Once again, the Pixel Buds 2a is priced at RM649 and will be available in stores starting 9 October. Pre-orders are now open, and customers and Pixel fans can visit Shopee, CelcomDigi, Maxis, U-Mobile, Urban Republic, Sen Heng and Thunder Match Technology (TMT).
