Launched in 2014, Android Lollipop or Android 5.0 is now 10 years old. Surprisingly there are still many devices running this outdated operating system, such as on vehicle inforia. Now finally, Google is ending the support of the Google Play service for this operating system. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Android Lollipop or Android 5.0 will now no longer receive Play Store updates. All Android devices with this operating system or with API 21 and API 22 after this can no longer update applications and do not receive the latest Google Play Protect protection. Google also recommends upgrading to a more recent device. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is currently the lowest version still receiving update support.

In addition, we have yet to confirm other details on the subject. So, we should wait for more confirmation from google and Android. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon.
