Google Translate now has Tap to Translate for any app

Google recently came out with a new update to their Google Translate app which they call Tap to Translate. While the Google Translate app is certainly useful, copy pasting from another app to Google Translate and back again can get irritating, so now with Tap to Translate, you can do so from the app direct from any Android phone running Jellybean 4.2 and above.

Other extra features include smaller offline packages of about 25MB or so each. Using them with Offline Mode means you don't have to be online to translate and now with the new update, it won't take up much space either. Word Lens also has Chinese now so if you need an instant translation of Simplified or Traditional Chinese, just point the Word Lens camera in that direction.

The updated Google Translate should be available over the next few days but our testing with the app reveals that we don't have that option in Malaysia just yet, so wait a few more days before going out to prove you're not a "banana".
