Google announces investment in an eyeglass company

While Meta is ready to collaborate with Ray-Ban to develop their smart glasses, Google has now announced a collaboration with Warby Parker, a US-based eyewear brand, for their own glasses project powered by Android XR. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, through this partnership, Google will allocate approximately $75 million in development and commercialisation costs for Warby Parker, and is committed to investing up to another $75 million if Warby Parker successfully achieves several phases of development of this partnership.

This collaborative move is expected to facilitate further the development process of smart glasses powered by Android XR by Google, in addition to moving faster using the expertise of both parties. We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more information from Google.
