Although we don't have them here, fans of clean stock Android UIs should be interested to know when the next Google Pixel 8 series smartphones will launch. The company looked to have 'accidentally' revealed the Pixel 8 Pro on its website yesterday. But it wasn't till today that we had official news of its launch date.

According to MKBHD, Google has officially sent out invites for an event on 4 October 2023. As you may expect, the company plans to unveil its Google Pixel 8 series smartphones there. The event will be for media in the US, as Google always launches its devices there first. But we can expect the devices to eventually launch in other countries where Google Pixel devices are available, such as Singapore for the SEA region.

Besides Google Pixel devices, Google will probably have other devices to showcase. This assumption isn't without basis, as the media invite specifically mentioned "the latest additions to our Pixel portfolio of devices". Moreover, the Pixel Watch 2 was certified by the US FCC recently. That means we can at least expect this new smartwatch to show up at the event. Google might also wait for this event to show off the latest version of its Android operating system - Android 14. But other sources claim Android 14 would be a September 2023 release, so take our speculation with a grain of salt.

You can probably grab the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro in Singapore when it releases there. But honestly, if you prefer stock Android, the ASUS Zenfone 10 is a more accessible option for Malaysians. What do you think?
