The Hide My Email feature offered in Apple iCloud+ is one of the very useful features. It can hide your email address and generate a temporary email address. In the future, Google could also offer the same feature for Android users. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, this feature is called Shielded Email and a few details about it have been found in the Google Play Services system application code version 24.45.33. This feature is said to appear when users open an application that requires account registration or entering an email.
In addition, a random email address will be generated and all messages will be forwarded to the user's real email address. You can also do various account settings through the My Account page such as turning off forwarding messages to real email and it is said that it may be integrated through Google Password Manager. Shielded Email is also expected to be a paid feature in the Google One subscription.
We have yet to confirm more details about the news. Hopefully, this feature will arrive soon. After all, Malaysians need extra protection when going online.
