Dark mode theme is pretty much on most popular apps nowadays, as well as on iOS and coming soon on some Android user interface platforms. If you're a Google Chrome mobile user, you'd be glad to know that Google is actually working on this for the mobile app version, especially for the Google Search results page.

While it's true that you can turn on dark mode on the Google Chrome app, the problem is that the Google Search results page itself will turn back to white after hitting the search button which defeats the purpose. Moreover, the company plans to integrate a much darker tone on its Google search page, as well as other websites that are under Google will also have their own dark mode theme sometime in the future. To further back up the claim, sources found a new code inside the Chromium source code which reads:

"Show the dark SRP for Chrome Android

If enabled, users will see a darkened search results page if Chrome is in night mode as well.

#enable-android-dark-srp"
