As both iOS 13 and Android 10 introduced a system-wide dark mode earlier, most of the developers have yet to update its apps to accommodate the dark mode, this includes the Gmail app on Android 10. Finally, Google has announced its latest updates, Gmail is now compatible with the Dark Mode for Android 10.

Once you enabled the Dark Mode on Android 10, the Gmail app will turn itself to dark mode automatically. As the new feature is still rolling out, it need some time to get to everyone, some of you may need to set it manually by clicking on the Settings then Theme.

As we covered on the dark mode experiment with the iPhone XS , the results showed it can help to extend your phone’s battery life with OLED screens. Some say it will also help to reduce eye strain and migraines but it has yet to be proven.

While most of the apps are in developement to sync with dark mode, Opera on Android has taken a different approach by giving a colour variant theme options to users. So are you a fan of the dark mode? Let us know at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more updates on TechNave.com!
