Google introduces new Time Watched Profile for YouTube mobile

If you're an avid YouTube viewer, chances are you probably have been introduced to a new YouTube tool that monitors your personal watching time in your profile. Called the Time Watched Profile, this can only be viewed on your mobile app (iOS and Android). Why? Well, Google just wants to provide you information about how much time you have been spending on YouTube. Check out below on what you can do with it.

To start off, you can go straight to your profile page (mobile app only) and tap on the "Time Watched". In that new profile page, it tells you how many minutes and hours you've watched on YouTube today, yesterday or even over the past 7 days. So just in case you realized that you really need to control your time on YouTube, you can actually remind yourself to take a break. Just scroll down to see the settings and pick the right amount of time for you. A friendly reminder will pop up on your screen once you hit the limit.

Setting your notifications

You can also control notifications from YouTube to a specific time of the day. Again, this can be done in the setting to choose when is the best time to receive the notification, or you can also bundle all of your YouTube push notifications into just one notification per day. Or if you want to do the opposite, you can also disable notification sounds and vibrations. Google has just made a change to send all notifications without disturbing you between 10PM and 8AM, which can be customized.

Thanks for the tips, Google. Until then TechNavers, stay tuned for more Google news at TechNave.com.
