Apparently, Google has been developing a new feature on YouTube called Playables. As the name suggests, there will be a new section on the YouTube app to let you play games on it. At the moment, the beta version is rolling out to select users but here's what it looks like.

According to sources, YouTube Playables are mobile games that can be played on the YouTube app. In addition, sources also say Playables will be 'playable' on YouTube desktop as well but so far, the tipster didn't get any access to that.

Most of the mobile games are unfamiliar (at least to us), but here's the list of confirmed ones that are available on YouTube Playable:

  • Scooter Extreme
  • State.io
  • Brain Out
  • 8 Ball Billiards Classic
  • Color Burst 3D
  • Stack Bounce
  • Daily Crossword
  • Daily Solitaire
  • Color Pixel Art
  • Carrom Clash
  • Cannon Balls 3D
  • Basketball FRVR
  • Angry Birds Showdown
  • Cube Tower
  • Crazy Caves

If you take a closer look at the screenshots, it's mentioned that the Playables demo is open until 28 March 2024. Judging by the date, the official launch might be around that time or even later. YouTube Playables could also very likely be an exclusive feature for YouTube Premium users and only members will be invited for the beta test.

Another similar product is Netflix Games whereby the company adds an official license to existing games from the PC/console or develops its own games based on popular shows like Stranger Things. It was also recently announced that the popular roguelike game Hades is coming to Netflix Games as well.
