If you frequently use Google services, this news might catch your attention. Recently, Google announced its own Open AI model - Gemma. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, this open AI model is specifically developed for open-source AI research and development. This model comes in 2 versions - Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B. Interestingly, you can run it directly from a laptop or desktop.

In addition, it was developed by the DeepMind team with the same process used for the development of Gemini. Gemma is accessible through Kaggle, Hugging Face, Nvidia NeMo, and Google's Vertex. Google has worked with NVIDIA to ensure that Gemma is optimized for use with the company's GPUs. At the same time, the development kit is provided by Google to ensure that the AI developed using Gemma has security barriers.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject or when it will roll out. As of now, we should wait for further confirmation from Google. We are looking forward to seeing how this feature could benefit Malaysia.
