Google might have prevented sideloading of Google apps on some Huawei smartphones

Based on a statement by a user on Reddit, it seems that Google might have blocked the sideloading of Google apps on Huawei smartphones via the Kirin processor detection. While not much is known in regards to why did Google do this, it seems that smartphones that are affected include the Huawei P30, P20, as well as the P40 due to “incompatible CPU/processor”.

However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement on the Reddit post. Not only that, but there’s also no news on whether other smartphones by Huawei are affected or not.
