The hardest part of planning holidays is searching for flights within your budget. Although there are platforms that help you find the best deals, Google seems to think AI can do it faster. As such, the company has rolled out a new search tool called Flight Deals.

AI-powered flight search

According to the announcement, Flight Deals is an AI-powered search tool for the Google Flights platform. The tool was designed for the express purpose of saving money, as it would search for the most affordable deal based on your search criteria. Flight deals will use real-time Google Flights data to find the best deals from the airlines and booking sites connected to the platform.

In Google's given example, you can search for a "10-day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder", and the search tool will find the best matching deals. The company claimed that Flight Deals can understand the nuances of what users are looking for, so it would be good at finding matching deals.

Probably not foolproof

Google has confirmed that Flight Deals is in beta, so there may be issues that need to be sorted out. In addition, the plan is to roll out the new AI-powered search function to users in the US, Canada and India. Further rollout was not announced, so we don't know when and if it will launch in Malaysia.

Having said that, what do you think of Flight Deals? Is this search function useful for frequent travellers? Please share your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
