Google introduced four new security and privacy tools at Google I/O today. The new tools include a new Password Checkup built into the Google password manager, Incognito mode in Google Maps, auto-delete history for Youtube, and Voice deletion for Google Assistant activity.

Google mentioned that most of the users have always been exposed to serious security threats by using common passwords that are easily hacked like, ABC123, Password1111, 12345, and P@ssw0rd. But with the new Password Checkup feature, it will show you the number of reused, weak, and compromised passwords.

Google Maps Incognito Mode

Google Maps has become our daily driving assistant, most of our searched locations were saved into our accounts and this will certainly be another threat if your account were to be hacked. But with the new incognito mode introduced, it will work similarly like the Google Chrome Incognito browser as all your previous searched locations will not be saved in your account once you turned it on.

Youtube Auto-Delete Feature

To make our daily tasks more convenient, you can now set your preferred deletion intervals for your Youtube history with the new auto-delete feature. Besides, you can also use voice commands to delete all your Google Assistant activity by saying something like “Hey Google, delete everything I said to you last week”.

Lastly, Google mentioned that the voice commands for deleting Google Assistant activities will only be supported in English this month whereas other languages will be starting next month.
