Starting on 31 August 2024, Google will start taking action against app developers who don't deliver quality apps on its Google Play Store. In its latest announcement in the Help Centre, apps that don't meet the standard requirement will not be allowed on Google Play.

Google further listed down criteria of violations for developers. This includes apps that don't have app-specific functionalities, little content that doesn't provide an engaging user experience (e.g. single wallpaper apps) or are designed to do nothing. Apps that crash or install, but don't load are also counted.

With this, it's good news for Android users to get the best user experience for any app on the Google Play Store. For more information, you can just visit the official statement at the policy centre right over here.
