Review scores on businesses in Google searches is a neat tool. However, there seems to be a cartel of fake reviews being left behind, causing the review score on the site to not be comparable to the quality of the real service. Thankfully, Google did something about it.
According to a report by Engadget, fake review warning labels have been removed from a business starting to appear in the United Kingdom. It was spotted by a user who shared the screenshot above. Google has not officially confirmed the existence of this feature but in the Search Engine Roundtable report they have made changes to the policy regarding fake reviews left by users.

We have yet to confirm how Google detect these comments. But the mechanism used may be the same as the system for detecting comments left with malicious intent better known as review bombing. Warning notices are only activated in the UK at the moment but it is hoped they will be rolled out worldwide as fake reviews make it difficult for people to make the right choice.
We have yet to confirm other details on the news and how it will affect businesses in Malaysia. But, it would be interesting to see how everyone would react to it.
