Google will soon put ads on YouTube Shorts

Google is reportedly testing ads on YouTube Shorts as a another way to help creators monetise their videos. For now, the ads on Shorts will include products like App Install and video action campaigns.

On Tuesday (26 April 2022), Google’s chief business officer Philipp Schindler said that the company is excited about the opportunities of monetisation will bring for consumers, creators and advertisers on YouTube Shorts. In fact, Google is really encouraged by the initial advertiser feedback and results.

Android Central reported that YouTube Shorts, which is YouTube’s answer to the super popular platform TikTok have been seeing a growth in engagement recently. Currently available in more than 100 countries, YouTube Shorts has 30 million views daily, which is four times the amount it was seeing just 12 months ago.
