AI Overviews are undeniably very helpful in doing web searches. However, the summary of search results could be confusing. Recently, Google announced that AI Overviews will soon start displaying ads.

In addition, if you're worried about getting confused between search results and ads, Google explains that any ad will have a label. These ads will also appear in Google Lens. Google is also aware that ads often annoy users. Therefore search results will be displayed first and then ads and there will be a line separating these two contents.

In Google Lens, Google integrated a feature like Circle to Search where the search will now display the results of the e-commerce site where the scanned object can be purchased. The link of this e-commerce site is the one advertised for users to continue buying after scanning. Interestingly, ads displayed on AI Overviews are limited in the United States, while ads on Google Lens are starting to be offered on iOS and Android for users in certain countries.
