Towards the end of the #MadeByGoogle '23 event, SVP Hardware of Google Rick Osterloh gave one more surprise. Besides revealing the Google Pixel 8 series, he also announced that users of the device will get up to seven years of OS updates.

Seven years is a long time and that's until the year 2030! Not only will Pixel 8 users get the OS upgrades but security and software features as well as AI advancement in the years to come. That's a lot of dedication, and the closest software support that we can think of is iOS, which supports all the way until iPhone SE (2nd Gen) and iPhone XR.

The Google event also introduced a new Pixel Watch 2, new Google Assistant capabilities and the camera features of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can watch the whole video on YouTube above to check it out.
