Earlier today, Prime Minister Muhyiddin has officially announced that the government will be giving away e-wallet worth RM50 to all Malaysians in order to encourage the usage of cashless payments. The RM50 will be given out starting from July 2020 onwards through selected e-wallet platforms such as Grab, Touch ‘n Go, and Boost.

Other than that, employees under the age of 40 who just joined a company will be eligible to get RM800 in cash. Employees over the age of 40 that joined a new company, on the other hand, will be eligible to get RM1000 in cash instead.

Last but not least, in order to encourage employees to work from home, the government is providing an RM5000 tax relief for companies so that they can purchase IT products such as computers. But that's not all, individuals will also be eligible for tax relief of up to RM2500 when you purchase an IT product.
