The Transport Minister further clarified that the subsidy does not include taxes and fees. Furthermore, for economy class flight tickets that exceed RM599, the government will pay the price difference between the original price of the air ticket and the maximum price.

Besides that, he also announced that Mavcom has facilitated 114 additional flights between Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. As for the subsidy costs that the government is bearing, Loke didn’t specify the exact amount but said that it is millions of ringgit.
