Grab Malaysia launches new lower delivery fees and Premium Delivery services

Recently, Grab Malaysia just introduced two new features called Near Me and Premium Delivery. The update is rolling out as we speak, with 'Near Me' available with lower delivery fees across the nation while the latter option allows customers to get their food at a faster rate.

Starting with Near Me, Grab is making it easier for consumers to discover restaurants within a three-kilometre radius by grouping them under the ‘Near Me’ tile and lowering the delivery fees for these restaurants to as low as RM1. To compensate for the low delivery fees, Grab will be subsidising the delivery fees, ensuring that delivery partners’ incomes are not affected.

As for Premium Delivery, Grab customers can opt to choose this option to cater to a faster delivery rate. This feature was first piloted in August, where one in three consumers opted for ‘Premium Delivery’ during peak hours. Consumers who opted for ‘Premium Delivery’ will be compensated with GrabFood vouchers accordingly if their orders* do not arrive by the stipulated time range as indicated on the Grab app.
