Galaxy Z Fold7

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is the latest book-style foldable from Samsung. One of its selling points is its incredibly slim profile. Some people have avoided foldable phones because they tend to feel thick in the pocket when folded. However, the Galaxy Z Fold7 measures 8.9mm when folded and an ultra-thin 4.2mm when unfolded.

Under its chassis, the Galaxy Z Fold7 sports a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for enhanced gaming and AI performance. Games now look better with real-time ray tracing, while AI performance is up by 41%. With the mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe), the phone's power efficiency was also greatly improved. As a result, the Galaxy Z Fold7's 4400mAh battery can last up to 24 hours of video playback.

In terms of the camera, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is the first Samsung foldable to feature a 200MP main camera. Its ultra-high resolution helps capture more details, while the ProVisual Engine improves various aspects like skin tones and textures. On top of that, the camera has incredible low-light performance, allowing you to take photos and videos that look better in the dark.

Galaxy Z Flip7

The other Samsung foldable to highlight is the Galaxy Z Flip7. Although it's not as slim as its book-style counterpart, the Galaxy Z Flip7 has its own unique selling points. Samsung gave the new model a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow, a 4.1-inch display covering almost half of the phone's back. This results in a cover screen that's more immersive, and is helpful in many ways. For instance, it is easier when you want to take selfies or vlogs with the 50MP main camera.

Powering the Galaxy Z Flip7 is an Exynos 2500 chipset, which promises up to 9% faster CPU processing and 22% faster AI performance. Thanks to the mDNIe technology, the phone also has a vastly improved battery life. Its 4300mAh battery can allegedly deliver up to 31 hours of video playback, which is 8 hours longer than its predecessor.

As for the cameras, the Galaxy Z Flip7 packs a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP front camera. While it seems identical to its predecessor, the new model is better because of the larger FlexWindow and ProVisual Engine. Selfies are easier to snap and the results look better, thanks to features like AI Zoom. The ProVisual Engine also helps with capturing better low-light videos, delivering better contrast and colours when recording outdoors at night.
