Grab unveils GrabFin, its new payments and financial services brand

Grab is set to launch a new brand called GrabFin which will combine Grab Financial Group’s (GFG) payments and financial services features. Announced in a statement yesterday, the new arm offers users a single entry point to access payment, investment and insurance services on the Grab application.

As reported by national news agency Bernama, GFG asserted that GrabFin represents the group’s commitment to empowering Southeast Asia with greater financial access. Furthermore, the new brand will also offer everyday financial services that can be activated via just a few clicks on the Grab app.

GrabFin will first launch in Singapore and Malaysia and will be progressively be rolled out in other Southeast Asian countries. The services that GrabFin offers will also be fractionalised so that more people can access the service.It will also be flexible so that consumers can choose how they use the products with no lock-in period.'

According to GrabFin head Kell Jay Lim, the new brand will give consumers access to financial services as simple as ordering a ride on the Grab app. It will also reinforce GFG’s promise to empower the 6 in 10 financially underserved in Southeast Asia.
