Apple will reportedly introduce a major revamp to its iPad Pro lineup next year, which includes a new design and for the first time ever, an OLED display. As for the iPad Pro series that are coming this year, it allegedly won’t feature “anything of note”.

This is according to reliable tipster Mark Gurman, who also claimed that the rest of the iPad lineup won’t see much changes this year. Writing in his Power On Newsletter on Bloomberg, he predicted that Apple is set to make it a “light year” for the lineup in 2023.

The tipster asserted that he doesn’t see “any major updates” to the entry-level iPad, iPad mini or iPad Air and that the iPad Pro “for sure” won’t feature many changes. Hence, it is likely that all iPad models will retain their respective designs but with an updated SoC inside.

Previously, we reported that Apple may be planning to move away from mini-LED displays on the iPad Pro and MacBooks lineup in favour of OLED panels. This claim was backed by an announcement by Apple’s main mini-LED display supplier Epistar that demand for the panel technology’s use in consumer electronic devices is decreasing.

Of course, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. However, given Gurman’s track record, there may be truth to his predictions.
