Besides launching the HONOR 70 5G in China yesterday, HONOR also released its more premium siblings, the HONOR 70 Pro and HONOR 70 Pro+. Moreover, the 70 Pro+ is the highest end of the Series and features a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC under the hood with either 8 or 12GB of RAM.
According to HONOR’s press release, the 70 Pro+ sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1200 x 2652 pixels and supports the “HDR Vivid” video format playback. Furthermore, the screen also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The 70 Pro+ also has a 4500mAh battery which supports up to 100W fast charging. HONOR claims that the smartphone can charge from zero to 60 percent in just 15 minutes and from zero to 100 percent in just 30 minutes.
Camera-wise, the 70 Pro+ boasts a 54MP main + 50MP ultra-wide/macro + 8MP telephoto triple-camera setup at its rear. The main sensor is a Sony IMX800 sensor which is the same for all devices in the HONOR 70 Series. As for the 50MP selfie camera, it’s located in the punch-hole of the display and has a wide 100 degrees field of view.
Meanwhile, the 70 Pro has most of the same features as the 70 Pro+, including the display, cameras and battery. However, the 70 Pro has a different chipset, whereby it sports a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC under the hood with either 8 or 12GB of RAM.
All devices in the HONOR 70 Series are available in four colour options, which are Midnight Black, Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, Frosted Gold, and Icelandic Frost. However, colour options availability may vary according to region, though HONOR has not yet revealed any global release of the HONOR 70 Series just yet.
The 70 Pro comes in three variants with the 8/256GB configuration priced at CNY3700 or ~RM2433 and the 12/256GB at CNY4000 or ~RM2630. There’s also a 12/512GB variant priced at CNY4400 or ~RM2893.
Meanwhile for the 70 Pro+, it is available in just two variants. For the 8/256GB, it is priced at CNY4300 or ~RM2827 while the top of the line 12/256GB configuration is priced at CNY4600 or ~RM3024.
So, what do you guys think of the 70 Pro and 70 Pro+ by HONOR? Will you be buying either of the devices if they were available in Malaysia?
