Last night, HONOR unveiled its Magic flagship series - the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro in China. We are sure that these newest phones will make their way to the Malaysian market but for now, let's check out the tech specs.
Both the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro look similar at first glance but they have a few differences here and there. Aside from featuring the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the pro variant is just slightly taller than the former with a 6.8-inch vs a 6.78-inch OLED 120Hz display, as well as having a bigger memory storage with up to 1TB.
The front camera for both phones is the same, using a 50MP sensor (albeit the pro has an extra 3D Depth camera), but the triple rear camera behind is not the same. The Magic 6 Pro uses a 50MP main + 180MP periscope telephoto (yes, it's 180MP, really) + 50MP ultrawide setup. As for the Magic 6, it has the same except for the 32MP telephoto camera. OIS is available for both the main and telephoto sensors.
The Magic 6 Pro also has a bigger battery pack with a 5600mAh and a faster 100W wired HONOR super fast charge/66W wireless fast charging. Meanwhile, the Magic 6 is not too shabby, sporting a 5450mAh battery with a 66W wired/50W wireless fast charging technology. It's worth mentioning that the pro variant has satellite communication and both phones have a Dynamic Island-like function on the front camera.
