Last night, HONOR finally revealed its latest Magic V Flip2 in China. The clamshell phone comes in two variants: a standard and the other as a Jimmy Choo special edition that sparkles. Read more about the Magic V Flip2 below.
The Dual Displays
For starters, the Magic V Flip2 features a 4.0-inch OLED outer display and a 6.82-inch OLED inner display. Both screens are designed with rounded corners, so the actual viewable areas are slightly smaller than the measured diagonals. The outer screen delivers a resolution of 1200 × 1092 pixels, while the inner screen pushes 2868 × 1232 pixels. Colour reproduction supports 1.07 billion colours and the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut.

Brightness is a standout: the outer screen peaks at 3600 nits in HDR mode, while the inner screen reaches a blazing 5000 nits. Global peak brightness clocks in at 2800 nits and 1800 nits, respectively. Eye comfort features include ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming (3840Hz outer, 4320Hz inner), AI-powered sleep and vision modes, low blue light hardware, and adaptive dimming.
Other Tech Specs
Under the hood, the Magic V Flip2 runs on the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, while configurations include 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. A premium edition offers 16GB RAM with 1TB storage.
The rear camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilisation, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide macro lens with autofocus. On the front, the inner screen houses a 50MP portrait camera with f/2.0 aperture. Photography modes span everything from AI-enhanced portraits and night scenes to super macro, panoramic, and cinematic filters. Both electronic and optical stabilisation are supported.

Last but not least, the Magic V Flip2 packs a 5500mAh battery using HONOR’s Qinghai Lake lithium polymer tech. It supports 80W SuperCharge via wired connection, with intelligent power management adapting to real-world usage.
OS Ecosystem and AI Functions
Running MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15, the device supports multi-screen collaboration, desktop mode, smart windowing, and full-screen translation. Security features include AI face detection, privacy vaults, and payment protection.
HONOR’s YOYO assistant anchors a suite of intelligent features, from AI face swap and translation to personalised themes and document handling. The phone supports Magic Lock Screen, Smart Visuals, Parallel Space, and a wide range of gesture shortcuts like knuckle screenshots and flip-to-mute.
Privacy and security are deeply integrated, with tools like App Lock, Shield, Fuzzy Location, and Fraud Firewall. Smart visual tools include text extraction, scanning, and real-time translation. Many features are OTA-upgradable, including the call assistant.
Price and Availability
The HONOR Magic V Flip2 comes in a couple of memory variants, starting from 12GB + 256GB for 5499 Yuan (~ RM3.2K). There is a special Jimmy Choo edition, which has a sparkling cover all over the device, as well as having the highest memory set at 16GB + 1TB for 7499 Yuan (~RM4.4K).

It's unclear whether this device will ever be available in Malaysia, as its predecessor was not. But we can only hope. Until then, stay tuned for the official announcement only at TechNave.com.
