As we’ve alluded to previously, HONOR Malaysia today launched the HONOR Magic V2 in Malaysia. The slimmest and lightest inward foldable device on the market, read on to find out more about HONOR’s latest flagship.
The most notable feature has got to be its remarkably slim and lightweight design. Weighing just 231g and a folded thickness of 9.9mm, it's the first foldable to measure below 1cm.
Despite that, the Magic V2 is still durable thanks to employing titanium alloy in the phone's hinge and using second-generation nanocrystal glass. In fact, the hinge can withstand over 400,000 folds, while the nanocrystal glass provides 10 times greater drop resistance compared to standard glass.
The external screen is certified with a 5-Star Drop Resistance Certification from SGS. With a unique zero-gear structure, the hinge on the Magic V2 lets users watch videos and capture photos hands-free.
Under the hood, there’s a 5000mAh dual-cell silicon-carbon battery and 66W HONOR SuperCharge for fast charging in minutes. Besides that, it features a 120Hz high refresh rate on both the inner and external screens, as well as adapts the industry's highest 3840 PM Dimming technology.
Photography-wise, the Magic V2 has a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP Main Camera, a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, as well as a 20MP Telephoto Camera along with dual 16MP front cameras.
Apart from that, the phone's improved Al Recognition enhances image identification for an intelligent and more efficient photography experience.
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. It’s available in 3 premium colours, namely Black, Purple or Black (PU). In Malaysia, the HONOR Magic V2 will be available for purchase nationwide from 25 January at RM6999 (16/512GB).
However, you can already place your pre-order from now until 24 January 2024 on the HONOR Official Website, HONOR Store, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and authorised dealers such as Maxis, Harvey Norman, Senheng, SenQ and Urban Republic. Early buyers will bring home exclusive free gifts worth up to RM3247 consisting of the HONOR Choice Cleaner Robot, Foldable Phone Gravity Car Phone Holder, and HONOR 365-day Screen Protection.
Furthermore, HONOR is the first in the smartphone industry to provide 365 days of screen protection for foldable phones. The HONOR 365-day Screen Protection covers both internal and external screens offering protection against cracks, damage, or breakage caused by accidental collisions, falls, or drops during regular usage.
Besides that, HONOR is also offering better payment options for Malaysians to own the Magic V2 with a 0% instalment plan. Available for 6 to 24 months, customers can own the phone for as low as RM291.63 per month.
