As announced last week, the HONOR Magic V6 has officially launched in Malaysia, with pre-orders starting today. Compared to its predecessor, the HONOR Magic V6 promises to refine the foldable experience. Below are the details about what this new model offers.
Enhanced design
Like the previous models, the HONOR Magic V6 boasts a slim body that makes it feel like a regular phone even when folded. Its ultra-thin body measures just 8.75mm when folded and 4mm when unfolded, all while weighing only 219g.
Despite its slim profile, the HONOR Magic V6 features a new super-durable hinge. This HONOR Super Steel Hinge has a staggering 2800 MPa tensile strength that surpasses the strength of a car's A-pillar. For reference, that's a car's support pillar responsible for structural integrity. With this hinge, the HONOR Magic V6 can fold up to 500,000 times.
To demonstrate its strength, HONOR Malaysia demonstrated how the phone helped pull a 1.25-tonne aircraft and a sports car without damaging the phone's structure. The HONOR Magic V6 even earned ASIA Record and ASEAN Record titles for the "Heaviest Aircraft Towed by a Foldable Smartphone".

The HONOR Magic V6's inner and outer displays both sport a new HONOR Magic Diamond Screen that provides improved durability and a premium viewing experience. Its external display also uses an upgraded HONOR Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield, while the inner display sports an improved Ultra-Tough Glass (UTG).
Another aspect of the design side worth mentioning is that the HONOR Magic V6 has IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. This ensures that the phone can handle any accidental splashes, being dropped on the beach, and other daily hazards.
Powerful hardware
Design aside, the HONOR Magic V6 packs powerful hardware inside. At its heart is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for flagship-grade performance, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage. It's a phone capable of gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven tasks.
As for the screens, the inner display is a 7.95-inch AMOLED display with a 2172x2352px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The HONOR Magic V6's cover screen is a smaller 6.52-inch AMOLED display. However, it also has a high 1080x2420px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of features, the HONOR Magic V6 has an advanced Multi-Flex system, which lets you run three apps together for better productivity. There's also a new Fast-Flex that allows users to instantly activate Gemini for various tasks. By the way, HONOR is offering a 3- month Google AI Pro subscription when you purchase the phone.
For photography, the HONOR Magic V6 uses a 50MP main camera, 64MP telephoto camera, and 50MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto camera comes with an industry-high CIPA 6.5 image stabilisation, allowing for stable long-range photography without compromising on clarity and detail.
Last but not least, the HONOR Magic V6 packs a relatively large battery for a foldable phone. It houses a 6,660mAh HONOR Silicon-carbon battery, possibly the largest battery in a foldable smartphone thus far. This phone also supports 80W Wired HONOR SuperCharge and 66W Wireless HONOR SuperCharge.
