Other than just affordable smartphones, HONOR has also invested their effort in building laptops with good performance and acceptable prices too. Earlier this month, the MagicBook 14 was announced in our country with an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and it's priced at RM2,499. Now, the brand is introducing a more powerful product to suit more needs, with the HONOR MagicBook Pro 2020 Ryzen Edition launched in China today.
The HONOR MagicBook Pro 2020 Ryzen Edition allows users to choose between an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H and a Ryzen 7 48000H processor. For those who want better performance out of the laptop, you may now have the Ryzen 7 on board to help you complete your tasks. Other than that, the laptop will come with 16GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. There's also the SharkFin Dual Fan 2.0 that spins at a rate of 5,800 rpm to cool the system down while running power-intensive apps.
Design-wise, the MagicBook Pro 2020 has a 16.1-inch FHD LCD panel with 100% sRGB color gamut, 90% screen-to-body ratio, and 4.9mm thinner bezels at top and sides. However, it has a relatively large 14.6mm bottom bezel. Other features also include a pop-up selfie camera built into the keyboard, surround sound, TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission, USB Type-C port (supports 65W fast charging), three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, 3.5mm headphone jack, fingerprint sensor, and Huawei Multi-Screen Collaboration.
The laptop will be available in two colour options which are Grey and Black. For the price, the model with Ryzen 5 will be sold at 4,699 Yuan (~RM2,868) while the Ryzen 7 model will be sold at 5,199 Yuan (~RM3,173). It is unsure when the laptop will be available in Malaysia but we will let you know if we got the news!
