HONOR Malaysia has just launched the HONOR Magic Pad 2, a high-performance tablet with AI features, a 12.3-inch OLED screen, and a price tag of RM2,799. The tablet brings advanced tech specs, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a sharp 3K display with high refresh rate for a somewhat affordable price here in Malaysia. It will be available on 13 September 2024.
The 12.3-inch OLED display comes with a resolution of 3000x1920, a 144Hz refresh rate, PWM Dimming 4320Hz, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. It also features TÜV Rheinland Flicker-Free Certification and low blue light emission, ensuring comfortable viewing. To aid with sleep, the Circadian Night Display adjusts color temperature for night use, while Dynamic Dimming automatically changes brightness according to ambient light.
For entertainment, the tablet features 8 IMAX Enhanced speakers for clear sound quality, even at high volumes. Weighing only 555 grams and just 5.8mm thick, it's designed to be portable without sacrificing its large screen size.
AI-Powered features and HONOR apps
Equipped with a suite of AI features, the Magic Pad 2 includes AI Noise Cancellation for video calls, AI Voice-to-Text conversion, and AI Handwriting Beautification to improve messy handwritten notes. There's even AI Formula Recognition, which turns handwritten mathematical formulas into neat and tidy text.
These features support multiple languages, including English, Chinese, French, and even Malay and Arabic. In addition, HONOR’s Magic Portal allows easy file sharing between apps, while Magic Ring seamlessly connects the tablet with other HONOR devices for file transfer and screen sharing. There’s also HONOR Docs that can help write documents, create slides and make spreadsheets for productivity.
