HONOR Pad V8 release: Dimensity 8020 SoC, 120Hz LCD display and 7250mAh battery from ~RM1225

HONOR has just released the HONOR Pad V8 in China, the vanilla version of the Pad V8 Pro released in December 2022. The first tablet to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, read on to find out more about the device. 

According to the official HONOR China website, the aforementioned SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Besides that, there’s also a 7250mAh battery which supports 22.5W charging via the USB-C port.

As for the display, the Pad V8 is equipped with an 11-inch 120Hz IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The screen has no cutouts, as the selfie camera is embedded within the tablet’s bezel instead.

Speaking of which, the Pad V8 has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 13MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup with LED flash at its rear. The tablet is lightweight at just 485 grams and has a thickness of 7.35mm.

Unfortunately, there’s no cellular option, as only a WiFi version is available. Other notable specs include a microSD card slot (up to 512GB), WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Android 12 OS via MagicUI 6,1, quad speakers, Magic Pencil 3 support, Magic Keyboard support and colour options of either Blue or Gold. 

In China, the Pad V8 starts from CNY1899 or ~RM1225. For a limited time, users can purchase it at CNY1799 or ~RM1160 for the 8/128GB variant. As of the time of writing, HONOR has yet to reveal whether the device would be available outside of China.
