HONOR is slowly picking up the pace recently with a few new smartphones released. It’s been a while since the HONOR Play series was out and today, the company released a teaser for the HONOR Play5 which is stated to be launched on 18 May.

According to the teaser, the HONOR Play5 will have a water drop notch 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED panel display with a quad rear camera setup. The whole design seems like a step down since it does not have a techie game themed back cover like its previous predecessors. It is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset.

As for the cameras, it sports a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide angle camera, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Surprisingly, it is powered by a 3800mAh with a 66W fast charging which the battery seems relatively small for today’s standard. But if it does, it should achieve a full charge around 30 minutes.

With that said, there’s no official information on the tech specs and the Malaysia release dates yet, so do take this with a pinch of salt. But are you a fan of  HONOR Play series? Let us know at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com.
