
Recently we’ve been reporting on rumours leaks and official teasers for the HONOR Play 5. Yesterday, HONOR finally unveiled the smartphone which the company stated as a “smartphone for all” with two models starting from 2099 yuan (~RM1347).
The HONOR Play 5 comes with a 6.53-inch OLED FHD+ true color display with ultra-thin edge design. It has a reflective glass material on the back cover design with 7.46mm thickness and weight of 179g which is considered as one of the thinnest and lightest devices among the HONOR series. The device is available in three colors, Icelandic Illusion, Titanium Silver, and Magic Midnight Blck.

As for the chipset, it sports a MediaTek Dimensity 800U coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The quad camera on rear comprises a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide angle camera, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor while having a 16MP selfie shooter. The HONOR Play 5 also comes with a single-cell dual circuit fast charging up to 66W with 3,800mAh powered battery.
With that said, there is still no official announcement on the Malaysia release date, but the HONOR Play 5 will begin selling in China on 26 May with the price of CNY 2,099 (~RM1347) for 8+128GB and CNY 2,299 (~RM1475). Stay tuned for for more tech news updates on TechNave.com.
