HONOR has recently released its latest tablet for the mid-range segment in China, the HONOR Tab 8. Packing a 12-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 and 10:6 screen ratio, the tablet is 6.9mm in thickness and weighs 520g.

As reported by IT Home, one of the most notable features of the Tab 8 has got to be its 8-speaker setup. Utilising the company’s self-developed audio tuning algorithm, DTS audio tuning technology, HONOR claims that the stereo speakers will bring a more vivid and ‘shocking sound effect experience’.

Powering the tablet is the tried-and-tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 mid-range processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, there’s a 7250mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging via USB-C.

Like many mid-range tablets out there, the Tab 8 doesn’t focus too much on cameras, whereby there’s only a 5MP camera at the rear as well as a 5MP shooter at the front. Other notable specs include Hi-Res Small Gold Label audio certification, Android 12 via Magic UI 6.1 OS and Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification.

  • 6/128GB at CNY1799 or ~RM1184
  • 8/128GB at CNY1999 or ~RM1315

For now, HONOR has only made the tablet available in China with global availability not yet announced. So, what do you guys think of the Tab 8?
