HONOR V40 series could be launched on 12 January

The HONOR V40 series has been making splashes with some exciting rumours and leaks. Earlier, we only knew that the launch of the series will be held this month as the date was not given. Now, a tipster has revealed the exact date of when the upcoming HONOR smartphones are arriving and it's 12 January.

According to a reply from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the HONOR V40 series is coming next week. Before this, the smartphone series has appeared on 3C certification confirming the devices' support for 66W fast-charging. The design leak has also showcased a watch-inspired camera module.

To recap, the HONOR V40 series is expected to come with four models that are equipped with chipsets from different manufacturers. It is claimed that the vanilla V40 will use a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, the V40 Pro uses Samsung’s Exynos 1080, while the V40 Pro+ will use Snapdragon 888 with the V40 Commemorative Edition coming with Huawei’s Kirin 9000.
