Rounding up the last product from the event, HONOR introduced the HONOR Watch 5 Pro (eSIM Edition) in China. It is a premium smartwatch built for active lifestyles, powered by MagicOS and equipped with eSIM calling, dual-frequency GPS, and military-grade durability. Here's everything you need to know about the smartwatch
Watch 5 Pro (eSIM Edition) Tech Specs
The HONOR Watch 5 Pro features a 46.3 mm circular AMOLED display with a 1.5-inch colour touchscreen and a 466 × 466 resolution (310 PPI), supporting raise-to-wake, touch, and button activation. Its durable body measures 46.3 × 46.3 × 11.3 mm and weighs 51.1 g (without strap) or 77.9 g (with strap).
The Watch 5 Pro features 64MB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage, allowing users to store music directly on the device for offline playback. Combined with music control, users can manage playlists or stream via eSIM without needing their phone.

Running on MagicOS (Watch Edition), the HONOR Watch 5 Pro offers a fluid, phone-like interface with deep ecosystem integration. It supports both Android 9.0+ and iOS 13.0+ smartphones, offering broad compatibility. The device includes 2 side buttons, with the top crown supporting rotation, allowing smooth navigation through apps, workouts, and notifications.
Powering the device is a 515mAh battery (typical, rated 500mAh) with magnetic wireless charging. Even with Always-On Display (AOD) enabled, it can last up to 7 days (Bluetooth), 5.5 days (dual-terminal), or 2 days (standalone). HONOR also includes a magnetic charging cradle with cable, supporting 5V–9V DC / 2A input, and battery life varies by mode:
- Bluetooth mode: Up to 15 days
- eSIM dual-terminal mode: Up to 10 days
- Standalone eSIM mode: Up to 3 days
eSIM Connectivity and Smart Calling

The eSIM edition supports independent LTE connectivity, including one-number dual-terminal or standalone number options, enabling users to make calls, stream music, and receive notifications without relying on a smartphone.
It also supports Bluetooth 5.2 (BLE/BR/EDR) with up to 200 m wireless range (in open, interference-free environments). With a built-in microphone and speaker, users can enjoy Bluetooth and eSIM calls, voice commands, and on-device audio playback. For contactless convenience, the Watch 5 Pro includes NFC support for tap-and-go payments and transit.
Advanced GPS, Sensors and Health
The smartwatch integrates a dual-frequency (L1 + L5) positioning system, compatible with GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, and QZSS satellites — providing high-precision tracking even in dense urban or mountain environments.
It’s also packed with a full array of sensors, including:
- Accelerometer and gyroscope
- Optical heart rate sensor
- ECG sensor
- Barometric pressure sensor
- Geometric (magnetometer) sensor
- Ambient light sensor
These sensors power continuous heart rate, sleep, stress, and blood oxygen (SpO?) monitoring, along with AI-enhanced health insights. The HONOR Watch 5 Pro supports dozens of workout modes, including running, cycling, swimming, hiking, skiing, and even triathlon training.
Rugged and Durable
Tested for extreme endurance, the HONOR Watch 5 Pro is certified for IP69K high-temperature water jet resistance — capable of withstanding 80°C water jets at 100 bar pressure from multiple angles. It operates in temperatures from -20°C to +35°C, ensuring reliability across diverse environments.
Built to withstand tough conditions, it also achieves 5ATM, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance certifications — making it safe for swimming, rain, and rugged outdoor use (though not for diving or hot-water environments). The smartwatch also comes with a fluoroelastomer strap (22 mm width) that fits wrists sized 140–210 mm, providing a comfortable, sweat-resistant fit for workouts or daily wear.
Price and Availability

The Watch 5 Pro (eSIM Edition) has five different colour options for customers to choose from, and only the green and black support eSIM for 1699 Yuan (~RM1K). The rest of the watches are only Bluetooth for 1599 Yuan (~RM948). There is a good chance that HONOR Malaysia will release this smartwatch here, so we need to wait and see for the announcement.
