HONOR X40 GT release: SD 888 chip, 144Hz display, and 66W fast charge, starts from ~RM1,366

HONOR has launched the HONOR X40 GT today. The gaming-centric device arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip and some other tech specs that would not disappoint users looking to have a satisfactory gaming experience on their phones.

The HONOR X40 GT packs a 6.81-inch IPS LCD, bearing a resolution of 2,388 x 1,080 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the chip gets paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There's also a 7GB of virtual RAM support. The battery pack that powers the device comes with a 4,800mAh capacity and supports 66W fast charging. To cool everything down, the X40 GT uses VC liquid cooling system for heat dissipation.

Furthermore, the circular camera module on the rear houses three sensors and an LED flash in X-formation. The camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth of field lens, and a 2MP macro unit. Meanwhile, the front gets equipped with a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper. Other features of the HONOR X40 GT include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and MagicUI 6.1 based on Android 12.

The HONOR X40 GT retails at RMB 2,099 (~RM1,366) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB trim costs RMB 2,399 (~RM1,562). It's available in Racing Black, Midnight Night Black, and Titanium Empty Silver.
