HONOR X50 Pro release - SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 5800mAh battery & 108MP main camera at ~RM1819

Previously, we reported that HONOR is launching the HONOR X50 GT soon, which could be a more premium version of the HONOR X50 Pro. Well, the company has quietly announced both on its official website in China, with this article focusing on the X50 Pro as it’s the only one with official specs and pricing as of the time of writing. 

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a massive 5800mAh battery under the hood, with support for 35W charging via the USB-C port.

Camera-wise, the X50 Pro has an 8MP selfie camera complemented by the 108MP main + 2MP macro dual-camera setup at the rear. As for the display, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved OLED with a 1.5K resolution that supports 10-bit and 1920Hz PWM dimming, as well as features an under-display fingerprint scanner. 

Other notable specs include a 5100mm2 vapour cooling system, Android 13 via MagicOS 7.2, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Green or Black. In China, the X50 Pro is priced at CNY2799 or ~RM1819. 

As of the time of writing, HONOR has yet to reveal its global availability and based on the listing for the X50 GT, both smartphones look to be the same device repackaged. Until further developments, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
