It was only a few months ago when the HONOR X70 made its debut with an 8300mAh battery. Today, the HONOR X80 just passed through a key certification milestone, appearing on the China Quality Certification (CQC) database with a 10000mAh battery. Under certificate number 2025010915830460, here's everything you need to know about the X80.

What We Know So Far

If HONOR follows through, the X80 could become one of the longest-lasting smartphones around. As mentioned, the previous model (the X70) came equipped with an 8300 mAh battery, which is already generous by 2025 standards. Early leaks also hint that the X80 may aim for a performance-forward crowd, possibly with a large display and enough power for gaming sessions.

Besides the 10000 mAh battery, the X80 is coming with 5G connectivity as well. But many details remain unconfirmed: we don’t yet have official word on the display type or resolution, the processor, charging speed, camera setup, or whether it will support wireless charging.

Some rumours suggest a 6.8-inch flat OLED (or high-quality LCD) with 1.5K resolution and potentially a Snapdragon-7-series chip for balanced performance. But until HONOR makes an official announcement, these remain unverified.

Could It Change Expectations?

Smartphones with huge batteries of 7000 mAh or more are increasingly common. But a 10000 mAh pack pushes the envelope. If HONOR X80 delivers real-world performance that matches the spec sheet, it could shift expectations for “mid-range” phones. The X80 may particularly resonate with users who value battery endurance above all, maybe even gamers, content creators, or heavy travellers.

Until then, we will just have to sit tight and wait for HONOR to unveil the X80 in the near future. It is likely to launch by the end of this month, but if not, early 2026 is a good bet. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
