Earlier this year, HONOR Malaysia introduced the HONOR X9a to the Malaysian market and here comes another variant. Called the HONOR X9b, it has been announced that this phone will be coming soon.
Designed to be tougher and more resilient than the predecessor, HONOR said the X9b has an all-new HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop display which features 3 layers of Ultra-Protection. This includes single-point reinforcement protection, wraparound cushioning and deep seal protection which is able to absorb up to 1.2x the drop impact.
HONOR is also proud of proclaiming the X9b holding the world's first smartphone 5-star all-angle drop resistance certification, awarded by the SGS of Switzerland. It sounds great on paper but until we see its practical usage and test, we shall see.
For context, the HONOR X9a is RM1499 in Malaysia so we may see a similar price range for the HONOR X9b. Until then, let's wait until HONOR Malaysia announces the official price tag.
