After being in the rumour mills for a while, HONOR Malaysia today announced the HONOR X9c Smart 5G in our country. Dubbed the “lite” version of the popular X9c 5G, it combines affordability with durability, boasting Ultra-Tough Triple Defense technology, which includes enhanced Drop Resistance, Water Resistance, and Scratch Resistance.
Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Battery-wise, it’s a massive 5800mAh cell that supports 35W charging via the USB-C port.
Meanwhile, the display is a 6.8-inch 120Hz TFT LCD with an FHD+ resolution and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 16MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 108MP shooter paired with a 5MP ultra-wide.
Other notable specs include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 and Android 14 via MagicOS 8.0 with built-in AI features such as AI Motion Sensing Capture, AI Eraser, Magic Portal, Magic Capsule and Parallel Space. In Malaysia, the X9c Smart 5G will be available on 11 December at 8PM for a price of RM1099 in Ocean Cyan and Moonlight colours.
