HONOR recently held the AI + Design Summit 2025 (APAC Edition) at REXKL, Kuala Lumpur — an event that gathered industry experts, academics, policymakers, and stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region. The summit aims to explore how artificial intelligence, design and education can intersect to shape the future of creative industries and youth education.

Launch of AYES — A Regional Platform for AI, Creativity and Youth Empowerment

At the summit, HONOR unveiled a new regional initiative named AI + Youth Empowerment Society (AYES). This platform unites universities, government agencies, technology companies, and industry bodies to provide youth with skills and opportunities in digital creativity, AI literacy, and future-ready careers. The goal is to build a sustainable ecosystem that empowers young people with knowledge and tools for tomorrow’s tech-driven economy.

Panels Discuss AI’s Role in Creative Industries, Design Education and Workforce Future

During the summit’s panel sessions, participants discussed how AI technologies can transform creative disciplines such as design, media, and the arts. A key topic was preparing educational curricula to equip students with the skills required in an era of automation and generative technologies. There was also emphasis on cross-border research and collaboration, with partners drawn from Southeast Asia, China, and Australia.

HONOR introduced a framework called the “New Logic of AI Arts & Design,” intended as a collaborative platform integrating AI into art, culture and creative expression — signalling the brand’s ambition to support innovation beyond hardware.

Positioning Malaysia as a Regional AI and Creative Hub

By organising this summit and launching AYES, HONOR is putting Malaysia forward as a potential regional hub for AI, creativity and education. The programme underscores a push toward making advanced technologies more accessible, safe, and inclusive — especially for youth who represent the next generation of creators.

What This Means for Future Creative & Education Landscape

With industry, academic, and government stakeholders collaborating under HONOR’s initiative, the summit may influence how creative curricula are designed, how talent is nurtured, and how AI is used responsibly in art and design. The cross-regional nature of the collaboration suggests opportunities for international exchange, creative innovation, and new career paths in technology and creative sectors.
