HONOR used to have a dedicated gaming phone called HONOR Play, but it seems to have phased out before 2020. There is also the HONOR GT series, and it's only exclusive in China. Well, the company is set to change that, as it has confirmed to launch a new Win smartphone series later this month, positioning the lineup as a performance-centric brand targeted at gamers and mobile esports enthusiasts.

The company is hosting a dedicated event to unveil the series, which will replace the existing HONOR GT lineup and introduce a fresh identity focused on sustained power, battery life, and gamer-friendly design elements.

Aiming at Esports and Sustained Performance

According to HONOR, it describes the Win series as an “e-sports phone” category, signalling its intent to compete directly in the high-performance gaming segment rather than the broader mainstream market. Early teasers shared by the company emphasise the Win brand name boldly, aligning with the company’s “Exceptional Strength, Born to Win” theme for the launch event.

While full specifications haven’t yet been revealed, multiple reports indicate the Win series will include two distinct models, both focusing on flagship-grade hardware. The higher-end version is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat display, a form factor often favoured by gamers for better handling and reduced accidental touches. There’s also strong buzz around the inclusion of an active cooling fan.

In addition to high-end processors, leaks point to the Win series offering very large battery capacities, possibly up to or around 10000mAh and support for fast charging. Visual design rumours show a flat screen with thin bezels and a gamer-oriented aesthetic, while secondary details include a 50MP primary camera unit, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and high-grade water resistance, rounding out a compelling package for both power users and mobile gamers.

What About The Launch?

Whether the Win series will launch globally or remain an India-focused initiative remains unclear, but the current teasers strongly position HONOR's next gaming flagship as a standout entry in the performance smartphone landscape. We hope to see this in Malaysia as well, as mobile gaming is very popular among the youth. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
