HONOR may be releasing an affordable foldable smartphone soon, touted as a more entry-level Magic V2, aptly named the Magic V2 Lite. In fact, the new foldable may be launched as early as 1 September, alongside the global release of the Magic V2.

According to tipsters on Weibo and Twitter, the Magic V2 Lite may come in two variants with different SoCs. One of which is expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 while the other is still unknown.

Given the “Lite” moniker, the build quality of the device and specs should be less premium than the Magic V2. Price-wise, the tipster on Weibo hinted at a starting price of around CNY5000 or ~RM3172.

If this pricing is too, then it would make the Magic V2 Lite one of the most affordable foldable smartphones in the market, even when you include Flip-style foldable devices.

Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet. Well, do stay tuned to TechNave for the latest development on this and for more trending tech news.
