In case you missed the recent release of the HONOR X70, it is currently the world's biggest phone battery capacity at a whopping 8300mAh. However, it is only a mid-range tier device, and the company may stick to that plan.
Major Jump from Previous Gen
According to DigitalChat, HONOR is planning to equip its 2025 flagship models with at least 7000mAh batteries, while mid-range devices could sport massive 8200 to 8400mAh packs. This falls in line with other sources, as HONOR flagship batteries are expected to range between 7020 and 7200mAh, and mid-range phones are projected to feature up to 8800mAh.
These aren't just your typical lithium-type batteries either, but HONOR's high-density silicon-carbon battery packs. These larger batteries don't add bulk, and despite their size, these smartphones are expected to offer up to 100?W wired charging, while still staying safely under the 100?Wh airline battery limit.
Global Rollout Unclear — China First
HONOR is very likely to launch this battery upgrade in China by the end of 2025, with possible global availability following in early 2026. Since Malaysia is a popular market for HONOR, we have a good chance of getting future HONOR phones with huge battery packs. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
