As part of the Honor Alpha Plan to develop an artificial intelligence ecosystem on devices, Honor CEO James Li has also announced that the company will invest $10 billion (~RM45 billion) for the purpose over the next five years. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, this announcement was made after he promised that the Honor Magic series of devices would receive Android version updates and security features for the next seven years , most likely starting with the latest Honor Magic7 series of devices. With this investment, Honor is seen to be collaborating with many other AI technology development companies such as Google and Qualcomm to democratize the technology to a wider number of users.

Moreover, HONOR's focus seems to be on ensuring that AI technologies developed not only by them, but by other companies can be utilised by as many users as possible by enabling more devices at different price points to take advantage of them, thus allowing anyone with a smart device to take advantage of AI technology.

We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from HONOR. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon.
