Looks like HONOR fans could be in for a pleasant surprise. Recently, HONOR is reportedly developing a mid-range smartphone with flagship specifications. So, what should you know about it?
A "flagship killer" in 2025?
For your information, rumours report that, through the HONOR GT2 model, this phone will be equipped with 24GB of RAM. Interestingly, this amount of RAM is usually only used in flagship models like the Magic 7 RSR Porsche.
Meanwhile, the HONOR 90 GT is the only one in the GT series equipped with 24GB of RAM. If these rumours are true, the HONOR GT 2 is expected to be a " flagship killer ", targeting mobile gaming enthusiasts with a smooth gaming experience.
In addition, this feature also makes it a serious competitor to the Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ and RS Ultimate, which are said to use 24GB of RAM for the first time. Besides the large RAM, the HONOR GT 2 will also reportedly be loaded with a large 8800mAh battery and support for 100W fast charging.
In contrast, the previous HONOR GT variant came with a 5300mAh battery, 100W charging, up to 16GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip + Adreno 750 GPU, and a 50MP + 12MP dual camera system.
No Malaysia release date yet
We have yet to confirm other tech specs or the Malaysian release date for the phone. So, we should wait for more announcements from HONOR.
