HONOR today announced that it will be releasing the HONOR X40 Series in China on 15 September 2022. Taking to its official Weibo account, HONOR shared a teaser poster for the upcoming smartphone series, though no official renders of the device were actually revealed.

The colourful poster shows a pink and golden sky over a body of water while a ring floats in the air, potentially alluding to the camera sensor at the back of the upcoming device. Moreover, there is also a slogan that read “New Leap Level Benchmark” on the poster which may allude to the device packing top-of-the-line specs. Well, given that there’s a ‘5G’ logo on the poster, it’s safe to say that the X40 Series will sport 5G connectivity.

In the caption for the poster, HONOR also proudly announced that there are more than 100 million users of its X-series smartphones globally. Meanwhile, HONOR CMO Jiang Hairong has also recently revealed that the Chinese company would soon launch a nine-year milestone smartphone for the X Series.

As of right now, there has been no official information on the X40 Series’ specs and features. However, previous leaks have pointed to the device coming with an OLED panel manufactured by BOE and for the X40 Series to have a Max variant as well as 40W fast charging.
